What is Ballot Scout?
Ballot Scout is an application that tracks ballots sent through the mail using USPS Intelligent Mail barcodes. It was created by Democracy Works, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, and is used here in partnership with your local election office. Ballot Scout tracks mail-in ballots and provides transparency for voters and election officials into where mail-in ballots are located, and ensures each vote is counted. Frequently Asked Questions Why can't I find my ballot? The name you enter must match exactly the name you used when you registered to vote. If your name is misspelled in your voter registration, it will be misspelled in Ballot Scout. Additionally, the address you enter on Ballot Scout must match the mailing address with which you registered to vote. I mailed my ballot back to my election office. Why isn’t Ballot Scout tracking it? You may be in an area where Ballot Scout is only tracking your ballot from your election office to you. This does not mean that your ballot is not on its way back to the office, just that we aren’t tracking that process. When can I expect my ballot? Once mailed, your ballot will typically take between 2-5 days to be delivered. Why isn’t Ballot Scout working on my browser? For security reasons, we support the current major release of each browser and one previous version. If you are experiencing difficulties using Ballot Scout, try updating your browser to the current version. |
